Cultural References
- The episode title is a pun on "How I Spent My Summer Vacation", which is the title of a 1997 romantic comedy film as well as an often-assigned topic in school writing assignments (particularly at the start of fall term).
- It could also be considered a reference to Joe Strummer, rhythm guitarist and lead singer of The Clash.
