Football is popular sport played and watched in Springfield. Springfield has a baseball team that is called Springfield Atoms.

History

The Dallas Cowboys are Homer's favorite team, when he watched a game on Thanksgiving he told Maggie that he wanted them to lose by less than five points. Two people who played in the team were Mr. Kogen and Mr. Wolodarksy.[1]

Homer watches CFL Draft. The episode discusses the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who had only scored four rogues during the season.[2]

Homer rented the video Football's Greatest Injuries when he was at VHS Village.[3]
