The Corrections is a novel by Jonathan Franzen.
History
Artie Ziff reads the book to Lisa. He read that when the main character kissed his forehead and went with Denise and Gary out into the spring night, she felt that nothing could kill her hope. Lisa thanks him for reading, because it made her feel better about her own family. Ziff then asks why Homer never read to her.
