History[edit]
After Homer entered the real world, he whimpered and looked around nervously as passersby stared at him. However, when he saw the sign for the store, he perked up, calmed down and eagerly went inside.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
In real life, there is no store called Erotic Cakes on Ventura Boulevard; the shop at the location where Homer visits is called Rose Photography. The other stores seen in the background during Homer's "real-world" scene are real.
