Great Smoky Mountains are a mountain range on the border between North Carolina and Tennessee.

History[edit]

The Great Smoky Mountains appeared in a story told by the singing railroad hobo. After Paul Bunyan and Babe smoked cigars near a mountain range, it became known as the Great Smoky Mountains.
