Growing Pains! is a Simpsons Comics story in Simpsons Comics #67. It was released in February 2002.
Plot[edit]
Homer gives Bart one of his old copies of the comic Z-Men. He sees an ad for a crossbow which he can only obtain if he sells crates of seeds for Armenian Seed Co.. Because the company has not had sales for years, Bart accidentally buys the entire stock of 10,000 packs of seeds with Homer's credit card.
Lisa, who is part of an unsuccessful environmental organization called Enviro-Bears, suggests that they sell seeds to everyone in town and the profit will pay off Homer's card and fund the Enviro-Bears. However, very few people in town are interested in buying the seeds. Mr. Burns demands that they stop selling them because of his hayfever. The Simpson house starts to be repossessed from the unpaid bill so Grampa suggests they host a town fair (with the seeds as prizes) to raise money. Mr. Burns tries unsuccessfully to prevent the fair from taking place when he sends thugs after Homer. The fair eventually raises enough money to pay off Homer's card. A frustrated Burns fires a death ray at the seed crates but the ray instead makes the seeds blossom immediately with a side effect of making the adults infertile.
