The Origin of Glowy: The Radioactive Dog is a Radioactive Man comic story first printed in Radioactive Man 80pg. 1.
Plot[edit]
One day Radioactive Man visits Bug Boy at the Mando Building to help him test his new atomic weapon. Bug Boy tests the gun on Radioactive Man and it works - his radioactive physique absorbs the blast without causing any damage to the lab. After the test Radioactive Man glows due to the radioactivity and he gives Bug Boy his birthday present, a turtle. He holds the turtle in his hand and it starts to glow before transforming. The turtle has become a dog and then Bug Boy realizes that due to the atomic ray fallout the turtle mutated into a dog. Bug Boy thanks Radioactive Man for the gift but since he is allergic to canines, he tells Radioactive Man that he must keep it. After that Radioactive Man had a new friend, Glowy.
