The "Here's jonnycakes!" quote is a reference to ''The Tonight Show''. When Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance said "Here's Johnny!" in the 1980 ''Shining'' film, it was a reference to ''The Tonight Show''. THOH V gave a little nod to that when Homer said "Here's Johnny!" and "David Letterman!" (another late-night talk show) when he broke into the two rooms that turned out to be empty. In pop culture, a "Here's Johnny!"-style quote should therefore be considered a reference to ''The Tonight Show'' unless the context indicates otherwise. -- [[User:Mythigator|Mythigator]] ([[User talk:Mythigator|talk]]) 12:13, August 23, 2014 (EDT)

Here's Jonnycakes[edit]

The "Here's jonnycakes!" quote is a reference to The Tonight Show. When Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance said "Here's Johnny!" in the 1980 Shining film, it was a reference to The Tonight Show. THOH V gave a little nod to that when Homer said "Here's Johnny!" and "David Letterman!" (another late-night talk show) when he broke into the two rooms that turned out to be empty. In pop culture, a "Here's Johnny!"-style quote should therefore be considered a reference to The Tonight Show unless the context indicates otherwise. -- Mythigator (talk) 12:13, August 23, 2014 (EDT)
