The Winter of Our Discount Tent is a Simpsons Winter Wingding story that appears in Simpsons Winter Wingding #10.
Synopsis
- "Homer's longstanding and unfulfilled promise to take the kids camping takes a turn for the worst, right into the middle of a snowstorm."

Bart,
Lisa and
Maggie are mad at
Homer because he promised them to camping with them during the summer. He promises them to do it soon. It's next year and it has become winter, Homer dreams that children have taken him to an ice floe and pushes him down into the water where
Poseidon are going to drink him as an ice cube. Homer wakes up and takes the children and
Marge and camping. There is no snow in the woods at the beginning but after a suddenly snowstorm, the car is covered with snow and the tent blowing away. Homer are going to drive back to town and purchase a new tent but discovers that the shovel is in the trunk. Lisa and Marge building an igloo but they are beginning to freeze. Bart meets a dog but Marge discovers that it is a wolf, and the rest of the family running away from Bart and the wolf. Bart coming after them with the wolf and telling him at he is friendly and show them some tricks that he can. The family gets hungry and builds snow people of themselves but they do not forget the hungry. They is then found by
Kent Brockman who is out with his camera man
Steve. Kent takes the family to the dog show that was and making a report of, he was telling a story about the missing wolf, who actually is a female dog. Homer feels disappointed for the camping was unsuccessful but the family tell him at they loved it and think it was the best camping trip ever. Homer falling asleep and dreaming that children and Marge come to the ice floes that Homer is on and they starting to ice surfing.
