Barbara Van Horne is the presumed wife of Sideshow Mel. Sideshow Mel says she dose not respect his french arts in "I'm With Cupid". In the episode "Realty Bites", Sideshow Mel tries to buy a bowling allie as a house but Marge says it was not suitable for him, and Sideshow Mel Calls Barbra to tell her they were going home and it showed her, also she had the same colar hair as Sideshow Mel's, but had normal hair unlike Sideshow Mel's.
