Synopsis
- "When Homer is accused of stealing a million-dollar painting, only a detective from the 1970s can clear his name, or send him to jail. It's a classic impossible mystery.[2]"

A scene for the episode was going to have Sideshow Mel say that they want a female Doctor Who, with the crowd agreeing and chanting with him. The joke is likely going to be changed in the episode though,[3] as on July 16, 2017, Jodie Whittaker was announced to be the Thirteenth Doctor.[4][5]
Originally the episode was set to air on March 11, 2018[1], on that day 3 Scenes Plus a Tag from a Marriage was set to air instead, but then the episode was switched back and pushed one week later.
