Ye Olde Candlemaker Shoppe is a historic candle shop located in Olde Springfield Towne. Homer worked there briefly in 1980—one in a string of jobs he held to afford the family's new cost of living with Bart's birth approaching—until being fired for making a disfigured candle, which offended some tourists.[1]
