Hello, I deleted the many images that had to be deleted because they were stolen from Simpsonpedia, were fan made, contained explicit content, had nothing to do with the Simpsons, or were duplicates (even if they were just minor editions like backgrounds). There are however more images out there that might need further deletion.[[User:Dr. Ralph Wiggum|Dr. Ralph Wiggum]] 02:11, 12 March 2008 (UTC) | Hello, I deleted the many images that had to be deleted because they were stolen from Simpsonpedia, were fan made, contained explicit content, had nothing to do with the Simpsons, or were duplicates (even if they were just minor editions like backgrounds). Character Moves
Hi! I'm fairly new to this wiki, but I think it would be a good idea to open discussions before moving any more characters, especially main characters, to decide whether to use the primary and most familiar names, Marge Simpson and Lisa Simpson, or full names which often developed only over the course of the series. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 21:02, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Actually he is makin it so that if u search marge simpson it takes you to there full names

- Hi again! I'm commenting here rather than my page to clear the air a bit. I wasn't trying to tell you what to do, say what you were doing was wrong, or chastise you or anything. You've been working here for a more than a week, making a lot of edits, and doing good work; I just came in yesterday, doing some minor clean-up. It's just that the sudden name changes caught me by complete and utter surprise while I was working on other pages, and I figured it would probably do the same to others, so I was encouraging discussion; I spend a lot of time on Muppet Wiki, and we always try to discuss issues like that first, just so everyone knows what's going on and is on the same page. Anyway, I left a note with Basel17, who's better qualified to look at these issues anyway. No hard feelings, I hope. :) -- Andrew Leal (talk) 22:12, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! —Scott (talk) 15:20, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Dear User, I recently received a message from simpsonspedia saying, "please say your guys, that they shouldn't steal grabpics from simpsonspedia.net!". Now besides from the bad grammar and sentence structure, I guess this simpsonspedia is a German knock off of Wikisimpsons. I really don’t care where you get the pictures, but if you ever uploaded them from there just try to stay away from this website from now on. Basel17 20:58, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
ok (Sgtcook 21:03, 4 January 2008 (UTC))
Admin
Okay, I read the message you put on my page but how do I become an admin?Dr. Ralph Wiggum 18:27, 14 February 2008 (EST) An admin or bureaucrat has to make you one.Sgtcook 16:05, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- We really do need new admins. I mean Basel has not been on for a while and we need someone to delete Pemkinedymn, Never talks, Groundskeeper Willie 2, ANUCARECTOR, New chracter mary jones, Talk:That 90's Show, Talk:Frankie the Squealer, Homer Phat OF SUPER DELUTE, Stupid Rumers, VANjoooooogo, Congratulations on a great site, and Your website gets better and better. I will think of more later.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 17:47, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- Good work on the Speedy deletions page. I also added Homr Phat OF SUPER DELUTE, the two images of Bender that were uploaded, and The Season 11 Cover Art image.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 19:24, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- It appears as today the only regular users are me, you, Database, the annoying spam loving anynomous user, and a bunch of new users are the only users now. I mean none of us are admins and Manticore, and Basel the only good admins have not been on for a while. I mean Penkinedymn is becoming an old article, Never talks I think has been here since the site started, and all those new spam articles are going to be here for quite a while so we need to get some new admins and fast. I will try to get an admin so I can be one.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 02:24, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Names
Do we really need articles on the Carnaval Hooker, Kearney's Son, and The Funny Looking Mugger. What I am saying is they do not have proper names and are not one-time characters, they are all just minor characters. Now a character should have an article if he has name, is a regular on the show, or a one-time character. Characters without proper names should not have articles. Anyway the guest one-time characters without names (The Army Colonel in G.I.D'oh for one) do deserve articles as they are key characters as minor ones (The Funny Looking Mugger for one) do not need articles as they are minor characters.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 19:42, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- Not really no, plus you could add Kearney's Son on his page.Sgtcook 20:03, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- I merged Kearney's Son's page with Kearney and gave him a section on Kearney's page while I merged the Unamed Carnaval Hooker with Herbert Powell's page and added a section for her in the family section of his page. Anyway I do not know where to merge the Funny Looking Mugger it is either I will merge him with Strong Arms of the Ma or will put him up for deletion.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 23:12, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- I had no real choice but to put the Mugger up for deletion. He is a character with no proper name, is very minor, and Funny Looking Mugger is not his real name.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 02:15, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes I am.

Hello
Hi, my name is Brian and I'm a new bureaucrat here. I am a regular at the normal English Wikipedia and I had noticed that this site needed another active administrator and offered my services. To my surprise, not only did the Wikia people agree but they also made me a bureaucrat. So, I figured I'd introduce myself and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. -- Brian McClure 06:04, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Copying things from Wikipedia
I would prefer that people not copy things word for word from Wikipedia but for now we need to build the wiki as much as possible, and using things from Wikipedia as a building block is a good start. In the long run, I would like to see this wiki have a lot more original content, because we don't want to just look like Wikipedia. As such, I ask that in the future you try the following:
- Try and write an original lead. Wikipedia is done from an out of universe perspective, whereas this in-universe. So, Wikipedia's article about Flanders starts out "Ned Flanders is a fictional character in the American animated series The Simpsons". These articles do not need such introductions, so "Ned Flanders is the Simpsons religious next door neighbor is fine" is how it would start here. In other words, things like "The American animated series The Simpsons" and the like should not be in the leads.
- Please try and copy merged/redirected/old things as much as possible. A lot of episode pages here aren't even stubs, but a good way to expand them quickly is to use old versions from pre-March 2007, like this because they contain trivia and cultural references sections, which are of more use here than production sections. As well, it doesn't look like it was copied.
- If you copy things, remove all redlinks that will never have pages. Again, having a lot of redlinks screams "word for word Wikipedia copy" but if remove them, the articles look that much better.
So in the future, please try to remember those items. Thanks, Brian McClure 00:07, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
