Admin powers[edit]
Hello, Brian. The skin is now the default (though Monaco can stillbe used as a personal option) Do you think you can give me admin powers again? Just to customize MediaWiki:Wikia.css to see how it looks with some modified things. You're the only one who can give me back my admin powers since you're the only bureaucrat who wasn't blocked. I'd ask Sarah, but she'll probably say no. — TheHomer (Talk • Contributions) 18:06, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
News[edit]
Hi, we now have a s:w:simpsonsnews|News Wiki. Instead of listing the news there, could you create an article there and link it to the news section? Thanks, ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 08:13, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
AWB[edit]
I have AutoWikiBrowser and have been using it. I have gone through thousands of articles so far. If you want anything specific done, just tell me. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:59, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- I just downloaded TortoiseSVN then some AWB folder. Logged in to my bot account, set the wiki (Custom -> simpsons.shoutwiki.com/w/) then started going. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 20:13, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Quick Category Question[edit]
Should articles that appear in a subcategory also appear in the "parent" category? For example ... should the films under the subcategory "Springfield Film Festival" appear only in that subcategory, or should they also appear in the parent category, "Films"? Thank you. -- Mythigator 05:30, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Meeting time[edit]
Hi Dohayecarumbadoh have you noticed Blog:Wikisimpsons editor meetings? The weekend is the current time frame it will be located in and so could you please post the time period (preferably in GMT, if not state your time zone) you will be available in on these days on the blog, my user talk page or your own user talk page. Thank you. --Cook879 21:23, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Category talk[edit]
Hello, Brian. I know we have never met on this wiki, or even personally for that matter, but I was wondering since you deleted Category:Canadian-American guest stars can you please delete Category talk:Canadian-American guest stars. Thank you. --Fred (Talk) 14:51, 18 February 2012 (EST)

Character introductions[edit]
Is it really necessary to have them on one time characters? | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 13:37, 1 May 2012 (EDT)
- I've mostly been adding the category to recurring characters (with a few exceptions). Besides, these days, there really is no such thing as a one-time character. The vast majority of one-timers appear again (often in the background) or are mentioned again. -- Brian McClure 13:39, 1 May 2012 (EDT)

Re:First edit in nearly two years.[edit]
And what an amazing edit it was. It shall long live in history, I think, as one of the most important edits of our time.
Does this imply a permanent comeback, or a wait until 2016 for another? :P -- CJC 08:55, January 7, 2014 (EST)
- It's unlikely that this indicates any kind of comeback, but who knows? I was here randomly, looking up something and decided to make an edit since it had been a while. I figured it would be funnier if the edit was very inane. -- Brian McClure (talk) 11:39, January 8, 2014 (EST)
A couple of things[edit]
Hey and welcome back. Since you were last here, we have a new table style using Template:Table. It's all explained on that page how to use the tables. They look a lot better than the boring old white ones. :P Also, if you intend to stick around, we have just today account confirmation since a majority of the accounts being made were spambots (and by a majority, I mean about 95% of accounts per day, if not more...) I know this isn't an ideal system but it means that we can allow those who want to contribute access whilst denying the spambots. All bureaucrats have access to that page. - We've made a lot of changes to the templates to make them work with the most complex of tables. It's too much effort to try and make it into a CSS class as the code is too complex to do so and I'd probably break things if I did. Also, the templates generally used less code than most of the tables we used which was another bonus. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:47, January 8, 2014 (EST)
