Stephen Edwin King (born September 21, 1947) is an American author, best known for his horror books, including Carrie, It, The Shining, and The Stand. He voiced himself in the season 12 episode "Insane Clown Poppy", signing autographs at the book convention.

He also plays in the band the Rock Bottom Remainders. Among the other members are Matt Groening, Mitch Albom, and Amy Tan.[1]
