Eartha Kitt (January 17, 1927 – December 25, 2008) was an actress.

Before her death, she recorded a role for The Simpsons as herself where she complained about being married to Krusty the Clown. That recording was used almost a year after her death in Once Upon a Time in Springfield.

Kitt's trademark was her cat purr.
