The Barber of Seville is an opera. As its title implies, it is set in the city of Seville, Spain.

Homer was the star of the opera, in the role of Count Almaviva, when it played at the Springfield Opera House. Because Julia wanted to kill Homer the police were at the premiere to stop her to killing Homer. Julia dressed as the maestro which Marge discovered and Marge stopped her by hurling a French horn in the way when she throw a poison dart which started to redirect back at her.
