In the film, Italian Pete stole chickens and ran off with them. Officer Joe put up a wanted sign for Italian Pete as Pete walked past him. Officer Joe then chased Pete to outside of a cigar store, where Pete pretended to be an Indian on display outside the store. The Indian then attacked Pete.
Italian Pete then put up a wanted sign for Officer Joe. Joe saw the sign then hanged himself as he thought he was a criminal. Officer Joe then went to Hell where he was tortured by demons.
