- The four members of 'The Home-Wreckers' are Mindy Simmons, Lurleen Lumpkin, Princess Kashmir and Jacques, all known to have caused tension between Homer and Marge.
- The Lovejoys' and Flanders' bowling team is called, "Holy Rollers", clearly inspired by the lyrics of "Come Together", a song of The Beatles.
