Homer's Guide to the Beach! is a The Simpsons Summer Shindig comic story first printed in The Simpsons Summer Shindig #1.
Plot[edit]
- "Homer tells the reader how to behave on the beach through pictures."
The guide[edit]
There's only one problem with taking your family to the beach: your family has to come along. When you get to the beach you need to pick a good spot fast before they're all gone. We share the beach with nature, so it's our job to keep the beach clean, but nature should do its part too. Making a sand castle is hard, but making a trash castle is easy and saves you a trip to the trashcan. People say that tanning is unsafe and that it may cause "melon ammonia", but Homer says those people are pale dorks and that the reader should not listen to them. If you get tired of swimming, just call a lifeguard, they have to pull you out. It's their job. The beach is a great place to rekindle romace and let your kids run wild. And if you get chased off the beach because you annoyed people and broke some laws, don't worry. There are thousands of miles of other beaches in the United States where nobody's ever heard of you.
