My thoughts

Okay, these are my thoughts on the matter:

1. Agree with.
2. Agree with.
3. No. We should keep all links, even if unofficial. If the video gets deleted, either change or remove (preferably change) the link.
4. If an article links to the image redirect, it shows up in Special:WantedFiles. This is why I suppress the redirect and make sure to change all file names.
