Surely Luigi is based on the cook from Lady and the Tramp? Or is it just me?

Mario Batali[edit]

Couldn't Luigi's name be based on this because of Mario and Luigi? | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 11:12, 1 March 2012 (EST)

Although he's Italian and called Luigi while there is another chef called Mario, it seems to be a major bit of speculation. Other than the fact they're both called Luigi and are Italian, is there any other similarities? No. Unless Matt Groening or another long time crew member officially states that he was based on the game character, it is speculation and does not belong. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 11:25, 1 March 2012 (EST)
