Status.[edit]

I have noticed that Kim Jong-il's status has him down as 'Alive'.

I do know that a real-world individual being dead in real-life does not necessarily mean that they are dead in The Simpsons.

However, one factor that would point toward Kim being dead is that in the special "Marge Simpson's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge", his son, Kim Jong-un is depicted as the North Korean leader. This would imply that, in The Simpsons, exactly as in real-life, Kim Jong-il is in fact dead, and his son has now taken over.

Should the status be changed to 'Deceased' or perhaps 'Possibly Deceased'? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.75.13.183 (talk) 15:27, February 26, 2017‎

Nope. He's still alive until stated in the show that he's dead. Sure, it's sort of implied, but not confirmed. Plus, the Ice Bucket Challenge video is non-canon. The Solar Dragon 16:09, February 26, 2017 (EST)
