Squidport Empire is a forthcoming drama series on the CMB Network. The program guide's description reads, "A prominent Springfield businessman sinks into a life of organized crime in the violent days of Cephalobition, when it was illegal to import and sell squid, octopi, and cuttlefish."
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The show is a parody of Boardwalk Empire.
- "Cephalobition" is a portmanteau of "Cephalopod" (the scientific animal classification that includes squids, octopi and cuttlefish) and Prohibition, during which it was illegal to produce, import, transport and sell alcoholic beverages in the USA.
