Springfield's Next Top Model Kit! is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story first printed in Li'l Homer #1.

Plot[edit]

Once when Homer was young, he bought a The Finksters model kit, Gear-Grinder McGoon. When his father finds out that he has bought another model, he begins to yell at him so Homer goes and hides. After Abe calms down, Homer starts to think about the future and how much his dad will appreciate him when he becomes rich and starts to show off his models to people.

Homer then begins building his new model in the garage, but he accidentally cuts his finger and hits the shelf so a can of glue crashes onto his head and knocks him down. Homer begins to dream that he is a model kit, and all his body parts are pieces of the model and he turns out to be Clancy Wiggum's model. Clancy starts to build Homer and when he finishes, Homer discovers that he now looks worse than Evel Knievel after his last big crash. Homer discovers that Clancy has set fire to a fuse and he intends to put it on Homer's back and blow him up. Homer tries to run away but he cannot, and he wakes up from his dream. It turns out that the glue is on Homer's back and he has been pasted into his father's car, and his father drives the car to Springfield's Ninth Annual Custom Car Show & Hot Rod-A-Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong and wins the competition. Homer's father thanks Homer because he's finally got some "stick-to-itiveness".
