The School Recital was a event at Springfield Elementary School.

During a sold-out Springfield Elementary School recital, much of the orchestra was absent because many students were undergoing appendectomies. As a result, the performance was reduced to Lisa Simpson on saxophone, Martin Prince on triangle, and Ralph Wiggum attempting to play a flute. The audience initially reacted negatively to their rendition of "Stars and Stripes Forever," but Lisa transformed the piece with a jazz-inspired solo, earning enthusiastic applause.
