Synopsis[edit]
Marge decides it's Maggie's bedtime, but Maggie wants to stay up late and watch TV. With only Homer standing between Maggie and what she wants, she figures out a way to get it.
Homer, Maggie and Marge are sitting on the couch watching TV. Marge yawns and decides it's bedtime for both herself and Maggie. She picks up Maggie, takes her upstairs and puts her to bed. Maggie, however, is not in the least bit sleepy and is still thinking about the TV program (a cop show) that they were watching. After Marge leaves, Maggie climbs out of her crib, goes downstairs, stands in the doorway to the living room and looks thoughtfully at Homer, who is still glued to the TV.
After a few moments' thought, Maggie goes into action. She goes into the kitchen and pushes a stool next to the refrigerator, then climbs the stool, opens the fridge, and takes a can of Duff Beer from the top shelf. Then she pushes the stool next to a closet, opens the door, opens the Duff, sets the can on a shelf in the closet, and quickly hides behind the open closet door. The "pshtt" sound as Maggie opens the beer attracts Homer's attention. He follows the sound and quickly spies the can of Duff on the closet shelf. In a near-hypnotic state, he goes into the closet to get the beer. Just then, Maggie closes and locks the closet door (using the stool to reach the lock), leaving Homer stuck inside.
With Homer now out of the picture, Maggie goes back to the living room, sits on the couch (which she now has all to herself) and smiles as she settles back into watching TV.
