La traviata was a televised opera production.
Plot[edit]
After getting a new Chanel suit, Marge Simpson asked Homer to take her somewhere special where she could wear it, suggesting the symphony or the theater. Homer dismissed the idea, saying there was little point in going out because they would eventually return home. Later, while Marge vacuumed the house wearing the suit, a televised performance of La traviata played on the family's television.
