Hark to the Tale of Nelson

Song Information
|
Hark to the Tale of Nelson is a song sung by Martin Prince about Nelson Muntz, after Nelson rescued Martin from being beat up by a Shelbyville boy. As Martin sang, he literally skipped circles around Nelson. Nelson, for his part, studiously ignored Martin, except for trying to hit him halfway through the song.
- Hark to the tale of Nelson,
- And the boy he loved so dear.
- They remained the best of friends,
- For years and years and years.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The song is sung to the tune of the theme from the Western TV series The Rifleman, which aired from 1958 to 1963.
