Object Information
Object: Mail sorter
Owner: Simpson family
First Appearance: "The Great Louse Detective"

The George Foreman Mail Sorter is a mail sorting machine promoted by George Foreman.

Description[edit]

The George Foreman Mail Sorter has a graphic which depicts George Foreman saying "I like money!" It has a slot at the top where a batch of mail is inserted. The machine then sorts the pieces of mail into "Good" and "Bad" categories and places them into their respective sections at the bottom of the machine. When the user closes the lid on the "Bad" mail, the machine melts those pieces of mail into a patty.

History[edit]

Homer brought in the day's mail, and Marge asked if there was anything good. Homer said, "The George Foreman Mail Sorter will let us know", and put the mail into the slot at the top of the machine. The machine quickly went into action. Mail sorted as "Good" included letters, a discount coupon and an invitation to a free spa weekend; while a jury summons, a Visa bill, and an invitation to a party that Patty and Selma were having went into the "Bad" section. When the machine was done, Homer closed the lid on the "Bad" section and the machine melted those pieces of mail into a patty, which Homer then pulled out of the machine, put into a bun and quickly ate.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The George Foreman Mail Sorter is an obvious reference to, and parody of, the George Foreman Grill.
