Deletions

Hi, again! When you get a chance, a couple of pages seem to merit deletion: Bart Simpson Jr (see article talk page, and checking with the user shows that he was relying on what a friend claimed he saw in a video interview) and Family Guy (again noted on talk page, it's just a long personal rant on a show which, as far as I can tell, is only directly relevant to The Simpsons via the Peter Griffin cameo amongst Homer's clones). -- Andrew Leal (talk) 00:27, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Name changes

Hi, Basel17! I think I inadvertently started an argument over renaming (I was trying to encourage discussion prior to moving pages for major characters, but I think it was misunderstood and seen as "random new guy we don't know telling us what to do.") What processes do you have running? I looked and I couldn't find any deletion pages, or a deletion template, if there are some of these related thing, could you point me in the right direction? Deletions

I have noticed people have been making dumb articles such as Isreal, In Cartoon Pornography, Male, and Shorten url wwa. I think they should be deleted right away. I all have to say is people are going crazy with editing.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 00:17, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

You forgot to delete Isreal, and The Complete Eleventh Season. The reason why I want Isreal to be deleted is because it well has nothing to do with the Simpsons and also The Eleventh Season DVD Article is speculation because the picture is fan art, and no release info has been annouced.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 23:35, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah Israel, The Complete Elventh Season and Simpsons Fact should be deleted in my view. One has nothing to do with The Simpsons and is just a POV statement anyway, the second is nothing but speculation and the third is something that does not need an article. Gran2 09:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi! I have noticed another spam article named You make darned inviting orentation. I anyway reported a problem on it as it contains a spam link. Anyway I beleive that this article and Jenna jameson should be deleted as they have nothing to do with the Simpsons and both contain spam links. Other deletable articles

• Charlie Simmons some foolish editor beleived that Mindy and Bea had a relation due to their last name being Simmons, but Simmons is a very common name and beleive it or not Matt Groening had said that for Beatrice Simmons he just made up the last name and for Mindy came to be because she is a female equivalent of Homer and they needed a last name to sound like Simpson. Anyway the complete guide even said that Mindy and Bea are not related but just have the same last name as Simmons is a very common last name. Also, the editor beleived that Bea mentioned Charlie Simmons in Old Money, however I saw the episode and Bea did not appear long enough to mention him.Dr. Ralph Wiggum 15:49, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

• Bart Simpson Jr. The episode he will appear in does not exsist! For one reason there will be no 20'th season due to the writers strike. Anyway, the only Bart Jr. there ever was only was a fake one who appeared in Bart's dream in Bart Gets an F. Anyway we should delete it or make it about the real Bart Jr.

Episodes layout

I think we need to decide on a set format for the episode pages. Alot of them have just been copied from Wikipedia, and so aren't written in the in-universe style that this Wiki is supposed to be written in. On Wikipedia we have to write pages from an out-of-universe perspective, so we must include a limited plot summary, production info, key cultural references, and reception all in prose, with no Trivia. However here, that is not the best idea. As such I propose to have a set style guideline for episodes. It's based on what the old Wikipedia episode page format was, and essentially what the Lost episode articles on Lostpedia are like. So: A detailed synopsis - as long as it needs to be. Then a good long Trivia section, perhaps with sub-sections: General notes about the episode, if it effects the overall show, if its events are mentioned again, key production information, key reception information such as awards, animation errors and continuity errors (not "Goofs", that word is horrible). Then a separate Cultural references section, detailing every reference made in the episode. Thoughts? Gran2 12:46, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
