The Gloria M. Stein Story is a biography with a foreword by Andrew Dice Klay. Lisa owns a copy.

Behind the Laughter

  • The book's subject, Gloria M. Stein, is a pun on feminist writer Gloria Steinem.
  • The author of the forward, Andrew Dice Klay, is a play on comedian and actor Andrew Dice Clay.
  • Andrew Dice Clay's comedy act has been labeled sexist and misogynistic and has drawn criticism from feminist and women's rights groups. It is therefore ironic for the sound-a-like Klay to be credited with writing the foreword for a biography of a Gloria Steinem sound-a-like, as in real life it is likely that neither Clay nor Steinem would consent to such an arrangement.
