[[Lisa]] is forced to play "Hail to the Chief" at the school's talent fair but rebels and plays another song. [[Dewey Largo|Mr. Largo]] pulls her off the stage, making Lisa frustrated. She then goes to the mall to sell her saxophone but instead finds a recording studio and records her music. [[Otto]]'s band, ''"Otto and the Screaming Whiners"'', then records their song after Lisa's but due to a recording error the recordings get mixed. Otto then submits the tape to a radio station which plays the song and it becomes a hit in [[Springfield]].
