[[Bart]] is grounded for the damage caused by [[Itchy]] and [[Scratchy]], meaning he has to miss [[Krusty the Clown]] perform at the [[Nuclear Power Plant]], even though the entire town is going. During the event, Itchy and Scratchy enter the power plant and cause a nuclear explosion. After the explosion, Bart investigates under his alias [[Bartman]] and finds the entire town have turned into violent superhumans. While the people of [[Springfield]] are attacking each other with their new powers, Bart finds a spaceship in the Flanders' backyard.
