It is also a large series of video games released by Nintendo and various Pokemon movies have been released. The first few were released in theatres while others afterwards were releaseed straight to DVD. Pokemon has also been referenced a few times on The Simpsons.

  • In "'Tis the Fifteenth Season" and "Fraudcast News" during the couch gag every Simpson family member is a Japanese television show character and Maggie is Pikachu. In Germany Pikachu's current voice actor is the same one who voices Maggie in the German version orf "The Simpsons" along with Lisa who is Sailor Moon in the couch gag and Sailor also appears to be voiced by the same voice of Lisa, Maggie, and Pikachu.
