Jessica Lovejoy, voiced by Meryl Streep, is the rebellious daughter of Reverend Lovejoy and Helen Lovejoy, who made her first appearance in Bart's Girlfriend. As voiced by Bart, she has an IQ of 108. She was Bart's second crush and proved to be more troublesome than even Bart could be. Bart enjoys the trouble they start, but realizes she is going too far. She went too far after stealing the church collection plate money. Bart was framed by Jessica and the town hated him for it. The town would think he was responsible had Lisa not exposed Jessica as the real culprit. When the money is found in Jessica's room, Reverend Lovejoy theorizes that Bart must have snuck in. Jessica admits to the theft while her father explains that he must have brought her out of boarding school too early. Jessica reminds him that she was expelled from boarding school.

In a later non-speaking appearance in I, D'oh-Bot, she and her father were participants in a robot fighting competition. Their creation, a centipede-like machine, was defeated by "Chief Knock-A-Homer", Homer and Bart's entry.

She had another non-speaking appearance in Marge Gamer playing soccer against Lisa.
