Green Day is a popular American punk rock trio. They first became successful with the release of their album "Dookie" in 1994. Their 2005 album, "American Idiot" was also a major success. Some hits Green Day have had include "American Idiot", "Basket Case", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", "Know Your Enemy" and "Holiday".

Green Day requested to be guest stars in The Simpsons Movie. The band recorded a rock version of The Simpsons Theme, which plays in the beginning of the movie and during the end credits.
