Maggie Simpson

Good Night was the first Simpsons short that aired on The Tracy Ullman Show on April 19, 1987

Plot

The first scene of this episode features a psychologically fueled dialogue between Bart and Homer about the inner workings of the mind. Bart soon falls asleep, but is unconvinced with Homer's explanation: "What is mind? No matter. What is matter? Never mind."

The episode's second scene features Marge telling Lisa to have a good sleep and to not let the bed bugs bite. This, however, concerns Lisa, whose reservations are shown in a panicking form.

The third scene of this episode features Marge singing Maggie "Rock-a-bye Baby", while Maggie is imagining the real-life scenario of the bough of a imaginary tree breaking. She falls onto the ground and Maggie is nervous by the end.

The Forth scene shows Homer and Marge in bed. Homer comments that they are the best parents and as they kiss, the three children walk into the door, and wave their arms frantically. They climb into Homer and Marge's bed, before falling asleep, each closing his or her eyes in turn, with Maggie last. It is the oldest episode of The Simpsons, and the characters are drawn in a different style.
