Edward "Ed" Asner (born Eddie Asner; November 15, 1929) is an American actor, producer, and voice actor. He voiced a Lifeways editor of the Springfield Shopper in the season 11 episode "Guess Who's Coming to Criticize Dinner?".

Behind the Laughter

For 12, Asner worked with Simpsons co-producer James L. Brooks on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Lou Grant. Like his Simpsons character, Asner's character Lou Grant was also involved in managing news stories.
