The Skybox series of trading cards, was first published in 1993. A year later a the printing continued with a new set of cards. The production came to a halt, but in 2001 Bongo joined Inkworks to bring back a continuing new series. These cards included character biographies with extra info, not shown in the TV series. Three years later this idea was added to The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family.
