Nightmare Cafeteria Rating

I wanted to discuss the rating of this episode because of "Nightmare Cafeteria", the third and final skit of this episode. The abandoned Simpsons Wikia has a whole section on the skit: link. It states the following:

  • This skit is the most graphic moment of The Simpsons. (pointless)
  • Direct quote: "This episode is rated PG in the UK, in spite of being more graphic than the 12-rated 'Treehouse of Horror X'"
  • This episode was once TV-PG but was re-rated TV-14 in America. Contrarily, it stated to be rated TV-PG on Amazon and IMDb. Some of the scenes, I believe, should have the episode be given a TV-MA rating for its morbid themes (like the Springfield Elementary students being locked in cages).
  • The episode is rated M (not to be confused with MA15+, practically a duplicate rating) on Australia's Fox 8 channel. The rating says that it's recommended for mature audiences & even allows the F-bomb to be used (Source: Wikipedia).

Another thing the section says is that the blood on Lunchlady Doris's apron was removed in subsequent airings. It would make sense on Sky1, because of the U.K. censorship guidelines In the #robotolabs TV rip (circa. 2003), the blood from her apron was not removed, however. Hmmm...

I got a little distracted with the facts, but my point is if some of this information should incorporated into the article itself. Should it? Gazlene the Pork Girl (talk) 14:58, October 29, 2014 (EDT)

I guess it depends whether or not this information can be verified or not. Especially since we don't know when "Treehouse of Horror V" is airing next in the UK. After it last aired yesterday. (A bit late, then Gazlene) And someone from Australia needs to verify this when it airs next over there as well. ~ Phinbart (talkcontribs) 15:53, October 29, 2014 (EDT)
Ah! It says that the episode's latest U.K. rating is PG: http://www.simpsonsarchive.com/guides/bbfc.html. That's one thing sourced. Gazlene the Pork Girl (talk) 18:13, October 29, 2014 (EDT)
