Synopsis
Ralph accidentally gets onto the city bus instead of the school bus, which leads to his having several adventures around town.
Plot
Ralph happens to walk past the school bus and when he passes a bus stop a yellow bus stops so Ralph think it's the school bus and steps on it. Ralph discovers that everyone in the bus are adults and he believes he is in the future and when he sees the art studio, Today's Future, he decides to go into the studio. There Ralph begins to sing as he is happy to be in the future and becomes praised by the visitors. He leaves the art studio and remains singing that he is happy when he meets Kent Brockman who believes that Ralph is the singing telegram he ordered. Kent asks Ralph to go into the TV building and sing Happy Birthday to Arnie Pie. It's time for Kent Brockman to be in the TV studio for the news, but he has locked himself out so the editorial staff takes the first person they see and put it in front of the TV which is Ralph. Ralph decides to describe what he sees in the pictures rather than following the prompt, which annoys the producer. Ralph then is thrown out after Kent has been able to enter the TV studio again. Ralph continues to sing and walks to Springfield Bridge, where he talks to a man who intends to jump off the bridge but Ralph makes him laugh so he decides not to jump. Ralph's father, Clancy then sees Ralph from his car and together they are going home for lunch. Sarah finds out what has happened to Ralph and is concerned about Ralph's future but Clancy calms her down.
