Native American Ice Cream (formerly Big Chief Crazy Cone) is an ice cream truck vendor.

History

When Homer was about to punish Bart for hitting mustard packets with a hammer and creating a mess in the living room, he heard the jingle of the ice cream truck and rushed to the front of the queue. After buying his ice cream, he forgot about what he was talking about with Bart, who proceeded to tell him that they were actually discussing when Homer beat jury duty.[1]

When Bart was trapped in a Virtual Reality machine, one of the simulations he had to complete involved him returning to his infancy. After Homer put baby Bart to bed, Bart escaped from his bedroom when he heard the ice cream truck jingle. After a long journey which ended when he reached a circus, Bart was shot out of a cannon and landed in the truck. Homer saw Bart in the truck and chased after it as it drove off.[2]

Behind the Laughter

  • The grinning Native American on the truck bears a resemblance to Chief Wahoo, the logo used by the Cleveland Indians baseball team. The team retired this logo in 2018, and were renamed the Cleveland Guardians in 2022.
  • The truck's jingle in Virtual Bart is based on the Mister Softee theme.
