A Briss Before Dying is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show, which Krusty shows to the audience of his show after publicly coming out as Jewish.

Plot

A baby Itchy lies on a table between a congregation of Jewish mice and Rabbi Scratchy, who recites a Hebrew prayer: "Baruch atah adonai, alohienu melech haholahm, boray pur" (a familiar blessing said over wine). Scratchy then pulls out a scalpel to perform a circumcision on Itchy. Upon seeing the scalpel, Itchy shrieks in fear. He jumps onto Scratchy's head, pulls out his eyeballs, and throws them out the window. Attempting to circumcise Itchy, Scratchy accidentally cuts himself to pieces due to his lack of vision. Itchy collects the pieces, puts them through a mincer, and applies the result to the end of a tube. He then blows it in a fireplace as if shaping glass, turning it into a goblet. Wrapping the goblet in a cloth, he crushes it beneath his foot and shouts "Mousel Tov!" (a pun on "Mazel Tov"), while the other mice applaud. After the cartoon, Krusty exclaims, "And that's what I believe in now! Hoo-hoo-ha-ha-ha!"

Goofs

  • Itchy throws Scratchy's eyeballs out the window, but the eyeballs strangely reappear when Scratchy's sliced-up remains are put through the mincer.
