Let's discuss this[edit]

Okay, we need to discuss Kang and Kodos.

  1. Kang has been mentioned to be male and Kodos' brother before. Several times he has been referred to as male.
  2. Kodos has been mentioned to be both male and female in the past.
  3. The only time they were mentioned to be a lesbian couple was in "Simpsorama". And I believe at least the part they appeared in was non-canon. However, Al Jean said the episode is canon. Plus, wiki policy states that later episodes trump older episodes.
  4. HOWEVER, Kang and Kodos DO NOT have eyelashes. Look at every female character, they have eyelashes. Now, look at every male character, they do not. This could be due to their species not being human? WRONG!

In conclusion, there is definitely mixed information about them. I feel we need to do something about it. All the information we don't know for sure should be reworded. Gender should be changed to unknown, they shouldn't be referred to by gender, their relationship shouldn't be mentioned (unknown relation under relatives). Just my thoughts, what does everyone else think? The Solar Dragon 18:22, October 9, 2015 (EDT)

I haven't really thought about this before but I completely agree with you. FatHomerTalk 18:38, October 9, 2015 (EDT)
They maybe are hermaphrodite. In the newest Threehouse of Horror comic is Kodos his sister again./AleWi (talk) 02:11, October 10, 2015 (EDT)
Should the category "Mothers" go on Kang's article instead? --205.213.104.120 17:31, October 11, 2015 (EDT)
Are comics canon? In stuff like Doctor Who they're not. LetsPlayNintendoITA 17:41, October 11, 2015 (EDT)
I have never read any official description if it is canon or not. We using Wikisimpsons:Comic Canonicity for that topic./AleWi (talk) 09:41, October 12, 2015 (EDT)
I thought they had mentioned in a commentary or something that they generally considered Kodos to be female, but I could be misremembering. In any case, I'm open to rewording troublesome sections, and we should probably add a "Gender" section to at least Kodos' article, if not both, since the gender-swapping and overall confusion is such a frequent occurrence. And also to hopefully stave off anyone not aware of the decision from reverting or changing things back. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 20:46, October 12, 2015 (EDT)

Okay, I've done some rewording on the articles. If anyone can remember any other instances of their genders being mentioned, please add them into the Gender sections. The Solar Dragon 15:50, October 22, 2015 (EDT)
