FCC is the an agency of the United States government.

History

Kidz Newz was produced by and broadcasted on Channel 6 to fulfill the FCC's requirement for educational programming, and to make room for the show 20 minutes of The Krusty the Clown Show was trimmed.[1]

After Kent Brockman swearing on TV sends Ned a letter to the Federal Communications Commission reporting the incident. The next day, during the Channel 6 newscast, Kent finds out that he is under scrutiny for his indiscretion and that the station has been fined $10 million. Later, Lindsay Naegle speaks to Kent, assuring him that his job is safe, but then abruptly fires him after claiming that the Splenda in his coffee is cocaine.[2]
