History

Kidz Newz was produced by and broadcasted on Channel 6 to fulfill the FCC's requirement for educational programming, and to make room for the show 20 minutes of The Krusty the Clown Show was trimmed.

After Kent Brockman swearing on TV sends Ned a letter to the Federal Communications Commission reporting the incident. The next day, during the Channel 6 newscast, Kent finds out that he is under scrutiny for his indiscretion and that the station has been fined $10 million. Later, Lindsay Naegle speaks to Kent, assuring him that his job is safe, but then abruptly fires him after claiming that the Splenda in his coffee is cocaine.
