Coltrane, the Simpsons' fourth cat. The name of the cat is a reference to John Coltrane (1926-1967) who was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Lisa says she liked him because of his name and later asked if he would like to listen to something by his namesake. Coltrane died when it jumped out the window after hearing the squealing sound of Lisa's saxophone. Also, Coltrane bore a slight resemblance to Bart.
