References/Trivia

Cultural References

  • The "Mypod", "Myphone", and other "My" tech is a parody of the "i" tech. "Mapple" is also a parody of "Apple", a tech company.
  • When Comic Book Guy throws the sledge hammer into the wall screen of Steve Mobs (after Bart hacked into the newsfeed and started playing a very cruel joke on the Mappel shoppers), it is a reference to the 1984 Macintosh super-bowl commercial.
