The Last Son of Krapton is a The Simpsons Summer Shindig story first printed in The Simpsons Summer Shindig #4.
Plot[edit]
Marge is mad at Homer because he forgot their anniversary. To make Marge happy, Homer takes a part-time job to earn money to buy her a nice diamond ring. He starts working at the carnival as the World's Biggest Infant, where visitors laugh at him. While he is working, Marge and the kids arrive at the carnival. Homer sees them and, not wanting to be noticed, hides in a ride. The ride starts, but due to poor construction, Homer is flung away and lands at Cletus' farm. Cletus, who has been reading a comic book with a similar storyline, believes a super space baby from Krapton fell from the sky. Cletus and Brandine decide to educate Homer, who appears to have lost his memory in the crash and begins to think he is a super baby.
Back home, Marge is worried she scared Homer away. Meanwhile, Homer starts helping Cletus and Brandine with chores on the farm. Cletus takes Homer to confront his enemies, the Fleagles, and has Homer destroy their brandy set. He then tells the Fleagles that Homer is his super baby, making Cletus the only moonshine supplier in the district. In response, the Fleagles decide to find a superhero to defeat Cletus' super baby, so they visit the comic book shop for help.
At the comic book shop, Bart overhears their description of the super baby and realizes it is Homer. He runs home to Marge and tells her about Homer's memory loss and whereabouts. Marge dresses as a superhero and goes to the Fleagles to stop Cletus' super baby. Homer and Marge fight, and it seems Homer will win, but when Marge tells him to stop because it's her, Homer's memory returns. He explains how he ended up on the farm. Cletus and the Fleagles resume their fight while Homer and Marge hug.
